    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Dr. Caveny was born in 1934 in Atlanta, GA. He grew up in the Navy and attended 13 schools. He was in NROTC and attended Georgia Tech. He spend time in the Navy.  Len shared many storied about coworkers, including Dick Wall.  He worked with design automation on Solid Rocket Motors. He worked on the Caster 2 project and has been published many times. Len also worked with spinning rocket motors. He left Thiokol in 1966 and went to the university of Alabama to earn his PhD. He then worked for Princeton and the Pentagon.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:title><![CDATA[Dr. Michael Lyon]]></dcterms:title>
    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Dr. Lyon grew up in Montgomery, Alabama. He majored in aerospace engineering at Auburn, graduating in 1971. He studied for his master&#039;s, then entered the workforce at Pratt and Whitney, working there from 1972-74. He first worked at Thiokol in the Engineering department, serving as a ballastician. He discusses the company&#039;s rising concern with combustion instability, and the experience of managing computer simulations to combat it. Dr. Lyon also spent 10 years assisting the ONS Navy office with ballistics sciences, where he had a variety of responsibilities, including community outreach. Eventually, he returned to Auburn and completed his master&#039;s in 1978. He would briefly teach a high school level course on rocket science, and continued to work in ballistic design for the Navy. He would return to Huntsville in 1987 and work for the Army&#039;s Propulsion Directorate at Redstone Arsenal, which enabled him to travel abroad frequently, and participate in international scientific events. He recieved a PhD from UAH after 2001, and enjoys playing and teaching the bagpipes.]]></dcterms:description>

    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Wayne started working at Thiokol in 1974 and worked for them for approximately 17 years. He earned a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Auburn. He has two masters degrees and a PhD in Engineering. While with Thiokol he worked in the Preliminary Design Group and the Ignition Systems Group. He worked on the Star Wars and Missile Defence Programs and with Solid Rocket Propulsion. He currently works as a professor at Athens State University.     <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Dr. Stevens went to college at Bowling Green University and earned a bachelor&#039;s in chemistry, and received his PhD from Vanderbilt. He came to Thiokol in 1959, beginning as a lab chemist. He also spent several years working at Goodyear, but returned to Huntsville and Thiokol around 1966. He mentions the company&#039;s relatively advanced technology, and discusses his experience with the company&#039;s Georgia division. Generally, he worked on solid propellant projects. He left Thiokol in 1979 to work in Washington, DC, but would return to Huntsville to serve as the director of propulsion for the Army. He discusses the challenges of working with post-Soviet Russian scientists as part of the START program (as well as earlier experience regarding diplomacy with Soviet-era Russia). After his military tenure, he became the executive director for the North Alabama Science Center for some time, then retired, spending much of his time abroad.]]></dcterms:description>
